TEAM NEWS: United's Starting XI Against Liverpool

After getting their inner-city rival in the previous round of the competition, Manchester United was handed a tasty away tie with Liverpool in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.

The Red Devils were given a stern test in the Third Round, but they put forth a solid display in their 3-2 victory over Manchester City, who were the reigning champions, out of the FA Cup, meanwhile, Liverpool were handed a much easier draw, as they defeated Oldham Athletic 5-1 at Anfield.

Starting XI: David de Gea; Rafael, Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans, Patrice Evra (c); Antonio Valencia, Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, Ji-Sung Park; Danny Welbeck

From United's last game - a 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium - Sir Alex Ferguson made four changes - three of them down to injury. Phil Jones, Nani and Wayne Rooney all missed the trip to Anfield with knocks picked up from the previous game and they were replaced by Rafael, Park and Scholes. Meanwhile, de Gea starts in goal for the first time in 2012, and he was absolutely spectacular in United's 1-1 Premier League draw against Liverpool back in October. It should have never been up for debate, but Evra not only starts, but will lead out Manchester United, as he goes back to the place where he was racially abused by Luis Suarez, who is still serving an eight-match suspension for that.
